Hi Thibaut,
  I think I've got boot-floppies working with PDC console now, tested
with serial PDC console on B180.  Attached are a patch for the b-f
source to apply to a clean 3.0.23 source, a new makedev.deb and
debootstrap.deb.  The two debs need to be in /archive/debian/local/
when you build b-f.  You also need to install the makedev.deb on your
build system.

All the end user should need to do is interact with PALO on initial
boot, to set console=ttyB0, and it should just work from there.
